Stage 3 Point Wolstoncroft Camp

This year in Term 3, students in Years 5 and 6 are being offered the opportunity to attend the 3-day Outdoor Education Camp overnight excursion at Point Wolstoncroft.

The online permission note was emailed to parents on Thursday 9th March.

Please pay a deposit today after completing the online permission note. Payments can be made up until Wednesday 19th July 2023.

Cost: $351

Food:  Day 1: Bring along a packed morning tea and snacks.  Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are all provided.

Day 2 & Day 3: Breakfast, lunch & dinner supplied (with morning and afternoon tea)

Dress Code: Out of uniform for all 3 days. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, suitable to the end of winter weather. Students will be physically active and need to be able to move easily in their clothing. Pack a hat & beanie.

Footwear:  Joggers for activities, thongs for showers (Recommended to pack an extra set of joggers in case footwear gets wet during activities)

** A packing list will be sent home in Term 2 **

Transport:  Coach

Departure Time: 9.30 am on Wednesday 9th August

Return Time: 2.30 pm on Friday 11th August

Equipment: More information will be shared in Term 2. Students will receive an itemised list of what they need to bring.

Additional Information Medical Disclaimer: Parents, please note there is no personal injury insurance cover provided by the NSW Department of Education and Training for students in relation to school sporting activities, physical education lessons or any other school activity. Parents and caregivers are advised to assess the level and extent of their child’s involvement in the sport program offered by the school, zone, area and state school sport associations when deciding whether additional insurance cover above that provided by Medicare is required. The NSW Supplementary Sporting Injuries Benefits Scheme funded by the NSW Government covers any injury resulting in the permanent loss of a prescribed faculty or the use of some prescribed part of the body.

Educational Outcomes: This excursion allows students to challenge themselves with physical activities, such as rope climbing, kayaking, archery and more. Focus for the three days is team building, developing trust in relationships and having fun!
